Nematode |
| |
The nematode disease can have
very serious effects on your pet frog. In the
beginning you may notice small patches of skin
that appear to be very dry and flaky. If the condition
is left untreated it can quickly spread over the
entire body of the frog causing your frog significant
discomfort. The stress level of the frog is also
likely to increase because of the discomfort that
they are feeling.
One of the most important things to remember
about nematode is that it can easily be transmitted
to other frogs that are housed together with the
infected frog. If you suspect that one of your
frogs does in fact have the nematode disease your first
step should be to quarantine the infected frog. Doing this as
soon as possible is vital to avoid infecting the
remaining frogs. |
